Two new Awards support Staff Development
When we ask people what they like best about the Library, more often than not the answer is “the staff”. This year the Foundation has been fortunate to be the recipient of two generous funds to support staff development at the Library. From these funds the Foundation has created two awards: The Pauline Hinch Memorial Award for Staff Development and The Peter J. Bassnett Award for Professional Development. In keeping with the donors’ requests, both awards are intended to encourage staff pursuing a career in public libraries.
